As minimum 19 degree examinations in commerce, arts, science, pharmacy and law as well degree and PG (post-graduate) courses of Ayurveda for the October and November session have been delayed in the view of the Commonwealth Youth Games.
The CYG is scheduled to be held from October 12 to October 18 and October 25 to November 3 because of the Diwali vacation. Usually, examinations are held before the Diwali vacations, but because of the all important occasion, the examination dates have been pushed in front. On Monday, a press let that go issued by the UoP controller of examinations declared. Several university students will participate in the CYG also as volunteers or in different cultural events.
On Sunday, earlier the CoE officials held an emergency meeting to discuss the postponement as well as the revised dates that were to be resulted because of the schedule change.
Details of revised examinations schedule have been sending in the students helpline as well as exam information section of the UoP’s official website - www.unipune.ernet.in. Accordingly, the university has inquired the colleges to take note of the change in exam dates and create the examination arrangements.
Arvind Nerkar, UoP public relations director said that it can be noted that the dates of only those papers were earlier scheduled from October 12 and 18 as well as October 25 and November 3 have been changed.
