Demand for Fixed Fees for Professional Courses

June 30th, 2009 ~ 3 Comments

Students’ organization has demanded for the fix fees for professional courses during admissions. Representatives of Students’ organizations including Rashtravadi Vidyarthi Congress and Maharashtra Vidyarthi Parishad were present.

Students’ Welfare Association of Pune, Suresh Jain said on Monday that they had demanded for the fix fee structure to the SSS before starting the admission process. He added that it will be helpful for the parents to send their ward to a particular college according to fee structure.

The Shikshan Shukla Samiti (SSS) will decide a temporary fee during admissions and the fixed fee will be announced in the next six months.

These organizations have planned a meeting at Patrakar Bhavan with students and parents at 2.30pm. According to organization they will move a step of complaint if the immediate action is not taken.

This is very good suggestion from the students association. Also i remember during my time of graduation there was something called pay seat and free seat.. in that the students who gets good percentage will get Free seat depending on the seat allocation process. The fees of free seat was 15000Rs and the fess of pay seat was 40000Rs.So it used to create a discrimination between a free seat student and pay seat student.

In the year 2003 they removed the concept of free seat and pay seat and said every one will have standard frees depending on the college. So now in this some colleges have kept their fees of rs 38000 to rs55000 but still students not satisfied with the type of facilities.

I truly support Students Organization and request government to standardize the frees structure for all professional studies for all colleges.

    Cheers!
