The police of Pune take a decision of issuing the conditional licenses for the owners of the cyber cafe on submission of documents explained in the first eleven clauses of the application and an affidavit to provide guarantee to submit all remaining papers.
Ravindra Sengaonkar Deputy Commissioner of police (administration) said in the meeting with cyber cafe holders that 2 necessary documents and approval certificates from the health department and the PWD (Public Works Department) of the respective public body have to be handed during 1 moth of getting the conditional license. He stated that all the documents have to be submitted at the police commissionerate.
This meeting was held in Shivajinagar at the police headquarters. The meeting was attended by over 100 cyber cafe holders from different cities around Pune.
Sengaonkar said that the Pune police commissioner has written to the PWD, last week PCMC (Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation) and PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation), soliciting them to issue no-objection certificates to the cafe holders.
Sengaonkar added -
The licensing system is meant to make the city more secure. Licenses would not be givens to any cyber café operated out of an illegally-constructed building.
